Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Amazing restaurant located in a lovely piazza in the old town. The staff is very kind and I felt taken care of and understood despite my broken Italian. I had one of the dishes of the day (~ fresh pasta with tuna, aubergine, tomato sauce and almonds) with a glass of white wine. I was later recommended a Sicilian cassata all arancia, which did not dissappoint. The food was yummy, one of the best pasta I had while in Sicily, and reasonably priced for the area. Would entirely recommend!! The outdoor seating is in piazza where the sound travels well, so a bit on the loud side, but in my opinion that is part of the experience."
"We’ve had the privilege to travel across all continents, both for work and privately, this place left a special memory warranting a hands-down 5-star review. A beautiful dinner with delicious fresh seafood under a gazebo. The raw seafood platter was amazing (gamberi rossi di Mazara). Top value for money. Professional, courteous, friendly service. Recommended to reserve in advance as it was fully booked with rounds of waiting customers on standby. We stayed at an apartment from the same owner-one of the most attentive humans we have met. He goes beyond little details to make sure guests have a pleasant, amazing experience. Kudos"
"My recent dining experience at Antichi Sapori was delightful. We started with a seafood entrée, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful, setting a high standard for the meal. The ravioli shrimp was a highlight, with perfectly cooked pasta and succulent shrimp filling that was both fresh and tasty. The couscous fish dish was another standout, offering a unique and delicious combination of flavors. Overall, Antichi Sapori impressed with its high-quality seafood and well-executed dishes. Highly recommended for seafood lovers!"
"Lively down to earth restaurant with outdoor seating. Traditional trapanese food.. we had cous cous with zuppa di pesce and the mix appetizer - I recommend trying the bresaola di pesce spada and tonno cause they are local delicacies! Just AMAZING. I’m so happy I brought foreign friend there!"
"The food is excellent, though the location is just average. Definitely worth it for the cuisine!"
"A very popular spot Antichi, all tables were located in the piazza or square across from its physical entrance. With no rain in sight, 28 degree weather it was delightful. Menu was first Italian, second English, third French all very helpful with many good selections. Typically a reservation is needed but we arrived early enough (20:15) that a table for two was still open. By the time we left there were at least 20 people waiting! Food was good although the bruschetta bread was much dryer than normal. Our food selections were fair compared to similar ones in a different location. Service was “Ok” yet it’s understandable in light of the volume of guests. Still, having to practically get up to find a waiter for a bottle of water made requesting a second beer a lost cause. Atmosphere was upbeat and inviting. This location is well known to locals and tourists as prior indications suggest. Definitely recommend this restaurant if tour in the area."
"Atmosphere was very nice. There was a small issue with one staff member, but when I raised it, they handled it professionally. I usually take a picture from the foot when it’s just presented but this time I forgot and we ate because of the smell of the food was amazing."
"Excellent food! They have a wide variety of dishes, but we kept coming back for their fresh pasta, especially with vongole or frutti di mare. Everything is fresh and so tasty, by far my favorite restaurant in Trapani. The service is perfect, and of course they offer amaretto after your meal! If you’re in Trapani, this place is a must-visit!"
